The STFC-led Cross-Cluster Proof of Concept Programme has supported 65 innovative projects since 2017, involving over 100 organisations across the clusters at Harwell Science & Innovation and Sci-Tech Daresbury Campuses.

The funding provided flexible grants for early-stage business-led research and development projects, undertaken in collaboration with other businesses, science-led facilities and organisations across the clusters.

This funding helped project consortia to develop, test and demonstrate the feasibility of novel concepts or transformational technologies, products and services in business.

The latest round funded 11 projects involving 24 organisations across clusters in Space, EnergyTech, HealthTech, and Digital, including 4 projects in Quantum, funded through a highlight call in partnership with the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC).
