Cross Sectional Imaging Head Study Day
This is a 1 day course aimed at Radiographers and other professionals who encounter cross sectional head imaging.
Join the South West Imaging Training Academy (SWITA) for an engaging and comprehensive Head Imaging Study Day, designed to enhance knowledge and confidence in interpreting CT and MRI brain imaging.
This full-day event brings together expert radiographers and consultant neuroradiologists to deliver a dynamic programme covering both acute and chronic neurological imaging. The day will explore CT head interpretation for trauma and stroke, dementia imaging and chronic brain changes, and the vital skill of systematic “edge-of-film” review to reduce missed pathology.
Participants will also gain valuable insight into MRI brain imaging, including when to use MRI over CT and how to interpret key sequences and pathologies, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of modern neuroimaging practice.
The programme is highly interactive, featuring hands-on image review workshops and a quiz, allowing attendees to apply learning in a supportive environment and build diagnostic confidence.
With opportunities for networking, discussion, and reflection throughout the day, this study event is ideal for radiographers looking to develop reporting skills, deepen clinical knowledge, and enhance decision-making in neuroimaging.
