Three days of innovative and inspiring sessions by experts and professionals from the creative industries.

Crossing Borders is back! We have learned a lot from last year's event and because there is always room for more learning and development, we are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting Crossing Borders 2: Joining up the dots in the Garret Theatre in Storyhouse, Chester on the 15th of June 2023.Influenced by Zygmunt Bauman's books Identity (2004) and Community (2013)we have invited several individuals, organisations and groups to discuss interesting projects, collaborations and initiatives in our region. It will be a very special event featuring some amazing guests, and we will be exploring our three main themes for this year - Community, Identity and Belonging - from a variety of perspectives, including Art, Heritage, Marginalised Groups, Youth and Community Arts and Theatre.The event is designed to be highly dynamic and fast-paced, each presentation will only have 15 minutes to present, and short Q&amp;A for each grouping. This serves to ensure that a variety of viewpoints and experiences are represented at the event. Everyone has a voice!Also, it is a free event, it even includes free coffee/tea and lunch! This is how invested we are in this project and similarly to last year, all information gathered from the day including written records, images, recordings, and evaluations from attendees and presenters, will be compiled into an evaluation report which you will have access to, yes gain, for free!As a member of the audience, you will be responsible for taking notes, asking pertinent questions, and possibly making suggestions. These inputs will be used to inform the research report that will be developed over the summer and presented back to you in September.
