CROW

CROW

The Red HedgehogLondon, England
Wednesday, Mar 18 from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Overview

Based on the poem by Ted Hughes.

CROW is based on the Ted Hughes' poetry. The show aims to establish links between music, poetry, dramaturgy and dance. The mystery of the long life of the crow, and the power of death, is contrasted with the lives of humans and grief. With music inspired by jazz, blues classical and Native American music.

Hughes is inspired by the myths of the native Americans of North America to create his own myth on the circle of creation, death and meaning. The main character, Crow, whose adventures he narrates, appears as animal with a frightening but fearful character, imagined above all as a survivor of death and a commentator of life and rebirth. It is the ability of the crow to survive in desolation and chaos that gives it, according to Hughes, its mythical importance.
