Crowborough Unity is a community event that aims to demonstrate that community solidarity is stronger than division.

Crowborough Unity is a community event created in response to rising hostility and aggression towards asylum seekers currently housed at the local barracks. The event aims to bring together local residents, community groups, and asylum seekers in a positive and welcoming environment that promotes understanding, solidarity, and connection.The day will focus on celebrating community diversity while providing a safe and inclusive space for people to meet, share stories, and stand together against racism and division.

The event seeks to:

• Show visible solidarity and support for asylum seekers living in the Crowborough barracks

• Create a safe and welcoming space for local residents who wish to express support and build connections

• Encourage dialogue and understanding between different parts of the community

• Promote unity, inclusion, and community resilience in the face of hostility and misinformation
