Crowdfunder Kintsugi Workshop

Collective Matter is a collaboration between three artists, Eva Masterman, Mary O’Malley and Katie Spragg, in which they use clay and materials to explore cross-disciplinary practice and creative communication and learning.They explore the potential of clay as an artistic and cultural tool to engage diverse audiences both within and beyond the art world. Practical clay workshops and events form the backbone of ongoing research into the potential of material language as a form of interdisciplinary learning and creativity.The Potting Shedis a permanent multi-functional artwork installed at sculpture park, Contemporary Sculpture Fulmer. It was designed by Collective Matter, in collaboration with furniture designer Geoffrey Hagger, and 2019 sees the opening of an inaugural programme of public engagement with invited artists.

<P>Learn the Japanese technique that gives broken pottery a second chance by having it's broken bits repaired with gold. As part of our crowdfunder we are hosting this workshop and have a few extra places. Join us to learn this special technique and bring home an object that's been given a new life. </P>
