We’re a London based not-for-profit organisation that supports artists and cultural producers interested in or working in the field of arts and health. The Hub is artist led and primarily for artists, although we welcome people from other backgrounds such as health and care professionals. We are inclusive. Our organisation is open to artists from all backgrounds, communities, experiences and qualifications.Whilst we’re London based we also work online and with partner organisations to support artists across the UK.

Crystallized intelligence increases as you age and gain more life experience. &quot; — <a href="https://psychcentral.com/health/fluid-vs-crystallized-intelligence" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PsychCentral</a>What do we mean by lived experience? Can lived experience be thought of in a different way, perhaps as a form of alternative intelligence? What if we considered our lived experiences not just as something that are often the result of distress or illness, but as unique insights and knowledge that enable us to show others what it means to feel how we feel and live how we live?Monique became unwell with a suspected infection of COVID -19 in March 2020 and experienced intermittent long term symptoms thereafter. Monique created the online artwork <a href="https://www.stillillcoronadiary.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Still Ill Corona Diary</a>, an online graphic journal illustrating her experiences in order to raise visibility of the condition of Long Covid. Monique has since been commissioned to create graphic content about Long Covid including for researchers at <a href="https://www.imperial.ac.uk/medicine/research-and-impact/groups/react-study/studies/react-long-covid/defining-long-covid/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Imperial College London</a> and an illustrated chapter in the &#x27;<a href="https://theexperimentpublishing.com/catalogs/fall-2022/long-covid-survival-guide/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Long Covid Survial Guide</a>&#x27;, published in 2022, The Experiment NYC.Monique is an advocate for charity Long Covid Support and works as an artist, facilitator and public speaker. This session will be centred on self reflection, storytelling and identifying / shared themes relating to our collective experience of the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic and understanding of the condition Long Covid today. The session will involve group discussion and collage making to address the question &#x27;What does Long Covid mean for us now?&#x27; <h3>Note:</h3><ul><li>This workshop is open to anyone with an interest in Long Covid, whether you have lived experience of the condition (or similar conditions) or not.</li><li>All facilitators in the space will be wearing masks - we encourage participants to wear masks to respect respect both the physical and psychological benefits this can provide for some participants.</li><li>Spaces are limited to ensure adequate physical space and the room will be ventilated.
