C&SW General Meeting : Training & Development

We are a leading representative body for companies, charities, organisations and individuals involved in the social care, support and health sectors in the West of England.Care and Support Westworks in partnership with a wide range of statutory agencies who share the same commitment to quality, choice and value. Care and Support West

Good training practices in your business are crucial for creating and retaining a quality workforce. This meeting will be looking at sourcing, planning, managing and evaluating training for an effective and motivated workforce. The new Care & Support West Training Skills platform will be showcased. This will help you find quality training, and also enable you to advertise spare places on your in-house courses.  We will be looking for your input on taking this forward and getting maximum value from it, so please bring with you those people responsible for training in your organisation. We will also have speakers looking at different approaches to training and the importance of using different methodologies for different situations. 12.00: Peter Connors Q Training : an introduction to the RQF (Regulated Qualification Framework) which replaced QCF from 1st January 2018 and what this will mean for C&SW members, current learners and forthcoming learners.Plus a brief insight of the work that is going into the Independent End Point Assessment Process which relates to the new apprenticeships
12.30: Mik Alban (C&SW): Developing training resources that you can deploy flexibly, use to promote understanding of your workplace culture and procedures and to test staff’s  knowledge of these.
13.00: lunch & networking
