Come and join us in a fun and relaxed environment to learn the basics of Cuban Salsa, officially named Casino.
Our 6 week beginner course is an introduction to Cuban Salsa/Casino and is designed to teach a basic salsa sequence that you are able to execute on the dance floor.
WHEN?
Monday 6:30-7:30pm on the following dates: 28th April, 12th May, 19th May, 2nd June, 9th June, 16th June (avoids bank holidays).
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
We are offering an exciting journey into the world of Cuban Salsa. Whether you're a total newbie to salsa or looking to cross over to Cuban from other styles of salsa, this course is perfect for you. Over the 6 weeks, you'll learn the basics of Cuban Salsa, footwork, partner work, finding the beat and body movement as well as some fun sequences to impress on the dance floor. Get ready to spice up your evenings with some Latin flair! No partner or experience required, just bring your enthusiasm and dancing shoes. Two left feet are welcome... Let's salsa!
We have a dance vocabulary that we use throughout the class, we teach you this explicitly as we go. This means that when you leave the class you have a number of moves that you can execute and practice. We will also provide you with some recommendations of Cuban tracks that you can use to practice.
LEVEL?
This class is for complete beginners. If you have danced other types of Salsa this will also aid you in crossing over into Cuban style.
WHAT TO WEAR?
Comfortable clothing such as loose trousers/leggings. Jeans are not advised. Trainers are suggested whilst looking at the foundations. No specific footwear is needed to dance Cuban Salsa.

There is a small car park to the rear of the hall (access gained via right handside of the bulding when facing the venue from kerbside). There is some on street parking on Albert Road. Please access the venue via the rear door.
PRICE & BOOKING?
£50pp for 6 week course (6 hours total). Payment must be made on or before the start date of the course (28/04/25).
