Cambridge University Entrepreneurs is the UK's oldest student entrepreneurship society and is known to organize one of the most successful student-led business planning and creation competition in the World. Since 1999, CUE has had over 450 entries and has awarded over £0.5m in seed funding to more than 40 business ideas. These companies have raised more than £33m further funding and are currently valued at more than £100m. Our competitions help you create global companies.

No prior business experience required – just your curiosity and drive to challenge the status quo and create something new!You will get to hear from: Lauren (Stewart) TackIn 2020, Lauren was named one of Management Today's 35 Women Under 35, the UK's longest-running, most prestigious list of young, female business talent. She was also named a Young Digital Leader of the Year finalist by DigiLeaders100 and one of the Top 100 Women in Tech by WeareTechWomen in 2019 amongst London's most talented women in tech.Lauren Stewart is the founder of Invigorate, an online platform helping accelerate ambitious tech businesses’ growth by providing high quality, experienced individuals on a flexible basis. Prior to Invigorate, Lauren spent time as a strategy consultant helping corporates set their strategic vision, define new business models, set up innovation units, source startup partners and navigate disruptive tech.Peter HiscocksPeter is one of the original founders of CUE itself and a very well respected entrepreneur that has spent a number of years in the private sector working in product development in large companies before starting his own businesses. Peter has founded eight new ventures, of which three have been sold, one has closed and he is Chairman or Director of the others. These businesses include Integral Inc – a $50 million consulting company; Ecurie25 – a supercar club; and Pod Point – an EV recharging business. He is the Chairman of a £20 million seed-fund that helps fund new business startups and is on the advisory board of a large venture capital company. He is also an active business angel.Dr. Hermann HauserFor over thirty years, Hermann Hauser has contributed to the translation of science into business. As a science-based innovator and serial entrepreneur, Hermann has successfully developed and financed over 100 high-tech companies whilst offering inspiration and mentorship to the next generation of entrepreneurs.He is best known for setting up Acorn Computers — developer of the iconic ‘BBC Micro’ — in 1978 and its spin-out, microchip design company ARM Holdings, in 1990. He went on to co-found Amadeus Capital Partners in 1997, a venture capital company through which he has built several technology companies.
