The session outlines are as follows, with running order subject to change within each day.Titles will be announced soon.<h3>Thursday January 6th</h3>9.30 John Tomsett: Seven Curriculum ConversationsIn this curriculum thinking masterclass John Tomsett discusses what he has learnt from his collaboration on the Huh: Curriculum Conversations project with Mary Myatt. Halfway through the interviews with curriculum developers for the next in the Huh series, Primary HUH, John will discuss what makes a knowledge-rich, challenging, ambitious curriculum, and seven ways in which senior and subject leaders of all phases can work together to interrogate the curriculum.11.20 Angela Browne: Equity Inspired Design: Getting beneath DEI in the Curriculum1.30 Chris Such: Reading Development and the Wider Curriculum - What Every Teacher Needs to Know<h3>Friday January 7th</h3>9.30 Mary Myatt: Fewer things in greater depth: some curriculum planning examples from primary and secondary11.20 Josh Vallance: Leading on the curriculum at school: models and practical approachesIn this session I’ll be looking at some models for senior curriculum leadership. We have come a long way in this field in recent years, with many schools rejecting genericism in favour of subject-specific curriculum leadership. There are, however, a fresh wave of lethal mutations that threaten to occur in response to Ofsted’s curriculum focus. I’ll run through examples of these and clarify the issues that lie within, before sharing some models of senior curriculum leadership, as well as my own work at Oasis Shirley Park.1.30 Alex Pethick: The Curriculum as the Progression Model: How to curate a curriculum that is taught be remembered.Alex Pethick is the Director of Curriculum at the Knowledge Schools Trust. She is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Trust’s Primary Knowledge Curriculum, as well as providing training and support to school leaders and teachers nationally.All webinars will be recorded and send to ticket-holders after the live event.
