Zoom links will be sent to the booking email addresses.</h3>Masterclasses start at 9.30, 11.20 and 1.30pm via Zoom webinars, on both days. The book selection form will be set up in March. The session outlines are as follows, with running order subject to change within each day.Titles will be announced soon.<h3>Monday March 7th</h3>9.30 Christine Counsell: Why is independent reading of whole novels so important and how can we make it happen for all?11.20 John Tomsett: Huh? Is the secondaryisation of the primary curriculum a good thing (spoiler alert - I don't know!)?A session where I feedback on what Mary Myatt and I are learning from our Primary HUH interviews about the tension between the teaching of the discrete subjects in primary and the interconnectedness of the primary curriculum as a whole.1.30 Ndidi Okezie and Jacob Diggle: “It's time to get real about the biggest gap in your annual improvement plan"This session explores the way that leaders should be thinking about youth work. You'll learn how its unique pedagogy is an asset to strengthen overall performance, support individual leadership development, and most critically improve outcomes for ALL young people.<h3>Tuesday March 8th</h3>9.30 Tom Sherrington: Can we teach to the top AND secure mastery? This session explores the apparent tensions between notions of stretch and challenge and an inclusive curriculum where no child is left behind. 11.20 Ian Warwick: Why is planning-in complexity and doubt so important for top achievement? This session will navigate effective approaches to increase cognitive challenge and ways to encourage learners to think aside, and to delve that little bit deeper. 'The only true voyage of learning would be not to visit strange lands, but to possess other eyes...'1.30 Tracey Adams: The Productive Struggle. How we identify the most important/hard things to teach in our classrooms; how we go about planning for this and the impact it can make, using St Matthew's as a case study.All webinars will be recorded and send to ticket-holders after the live event.
