Learn through practice with expert help on-hand
We believe people learn best by doing.
Accordingly, all our courses are heavily hands-on, with a focus on projects over text books.
You’ll get practical experience, and finish the day being able to go away and use your new skills.

Who's It For?
Perfect for someone looking to start out building CMS-driven websites, either for yourself, or for clients.
You could be a designer with an interest in coding and are looking to learn the skills you need to build entire websites.
You could already work in web as a project manager, SEO or social media manager or related area who uses WordPress day-to-day from a user point of view, and want to know more.
Or you may have your own business and be interested in building your own website.
Whatever your need, learning how to install WordPress, create themes and apply HTML & CSS to them to make them look how you want is a great skill to have.

Prior Skill Level
To get the most out of this course you should have some experience writing HTML and CSS.
Some experience with PHP will make things easier, specifically using WordPress theming functions, but this isn't a requirement.
If you've used an FTP client before this will also help, but also isn't a requirement as we'll cover how to do this.
You don't need any experience installing CMSs before.
NOTE: this workshop requires coding, if you are wanting to just learn about WordPress administration, or using WordPress without any coding then this workshop may not be for you.

Equipment
You'll need to bring your own laptop for this workshop, if this is a problem let us know in advance and we'll arrange hire. You will also need a code editor, for example <A HREF="http://www.sublimetext.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sublime</A>, and an FTP client, for example <A HREF="https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?show_all=1" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">FileZilla</A>.
