Customer Acquisition Essentials
Understand how customers think, how to identify your ideal audience and how to create a strong message and simple offer.
Please note: To join this workshop you or your business needs to reside within one of the following GM local authorities: Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Manchester, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside or Trafford, Wigan.
You also need to be: The owner of a business OR an aspiring entrepreneur with a business idea you want to develop.
To ensure we have the correct information, please fill out the Generator Registration Form, or bring one of the following forms of identification with you to the workshop:
- Your National Insurance (NI) number – if you have not yet registered a business
- Your Companies House registration number or Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) – if you have registered a company with Companies House or are self-employed/sole trader registered with HMRC
Kindly note that we may not be able to admit you to the workshop without this information, so we strongly encourage you to have it ready on the day.

Support in clarifying what your business does, who it’s for, and what makes it different. - Crafting a simple offer that gets attention
How to package your product or service into a clear, compelling offer that is easy to understand and act on. - Building visibility using free tools
Practical ways to increase awareness using free platforms such as Google Business Profile, directories, and community groups. - Mapping a basic customer journey
A simple overview of how customers find, engage with, and take action with your business.
