Somerset Brick and Tile Museum

Join us for clay crafts, workshops and museum tours. Discover the story of brick and tile making at Somerset Brick and Tile Museum, at the heart of the Museum is one of the only traditional brick kilns to survive in southern England.

Participants will be introduced to the technique of casting using pewter in a cuttlefish bone. Drawing directly into the cuttlefish bone to create a mould for the metal to be poured into. This simple technique is a great introduction to the potential of metalwork and casting.
