CWÎR: Creative Community
CWÎR is a space for LGBTQIA+ creatives in Cardiff to connect, collaborate and grow through workshops and community.
Building on the foundations of GORWEL, we’re excited to launch CWÎR: Creative Community, a new collaboration between Creative Cardiff and Lone Worlds. Funded by Arts Council of Wales, CWÎR offers LGBTQIA+ creatives a queer-led, safe and welcoming space to connect, share and collaborate.
Each event will spotlight an LGBTQIA+ creative working in a different area of the industry, leading practical and hands-on sessions designed to share knowledge, nurture ideas and encourage meaningful networking and collaboration.
CWÎR aims to build lasting professional and personal connections across Cardiff’s creative sector, increasing visibility and creating opportunities for queer-led, grassroots and community-driven initiatives.
March session: Embodied Cultural Gatherings with Sahar Saki
How to facilitate spaces of joy where culture is experienced through the body
Sahar Saki is a community artist based in Cardiff whose practice explores cultural gathering as an artistic form. Working across visual art, movement and hosting, she creates embodied experiences where people encounter culture through the body - through food, music, poetry, and collective rituals of joy.

Gan adeiladu ar sylfeini GORWEL, rydym yn gyffrous i lansio CWÎR: Cymuned Greadigol, cydweithrediad newydd rhwng Caerdydd Creadigol a Lone Worlds. Wedi'i ariannu gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, mae CWÎR yn cynnig lle diogel a chroesawgar dan arweiniad queer i greadigwyr LGBTQIA+ gysylltu, rhannu a chydweithio.
Bydd pob digwyddiad yn tynnu sylw at greadigwr LGBTQIA+ sy'n gweithio mewn maes gwahanol o'r diwydiant, gan arwain sesiynau ymarferol a chymhellol wedi'u cynllunio i rannu gwybodaeth, meithrin syniadau ac annog rhwydweithio a chydweithio ystyrlon.
Nod CWÎR yw meithrin cysylltiadau proffesiynol a phersonol parhaol ar draws sector creadigol Caerdydd, gan gynyddu gwelededd a chreu cyfleoedd ar gyfer mentrau dan arweiniad pobl hoyw, ar lawr gwlad ac yn y gymuned.
Sesiwn mis Mawrth: Cyfarfodydd Diwylliannol Ymgorfforol gyda Sahar Saki
Sut i hwyluso mannau llawenydd lle mae diwylliant yn cael ei brofi trwy'r corff
Mae Sahar Saki yn artist cymunedol sydd wedi'i leoli yng Nghaerdydd ac mae ei gwaith yn archwilio cyfarfod diwylliannol fel ffurf artistig. Gan weithio ar draws celfyddyd weledol, symudiad a chynnal, mae hi'n creu profiadau ymgorfforol lle mae pobl yn dod ar draws diwylliant trwy'r corff - trwy fwyd, cerddoriaeth, barddoniaeth, a defodau llawenydd cyfunol.
