Learn how to make a Cyanotype Print and create a brooch token inspired by the Foundling Museum’s collection - open to anyone aged 18-30.
Discover the art of cyanotype printing in this creative workshop for young adults.
Guided by artist Florence Bennett, you will have the opportunity to experiment with cyanotype processes through collaging found objects to create A5 prints.
Once you are familiar with the technique, we will work with images of tokens from the Foundling Museum's collection to create small brooches, reflecting on the sentimental and precious nature of the objects.
No need to stress about coming solo, there will be plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow attendees through type. This is your opportunity to take some time to craft, connect and self-express. What are you waiting for?
This workshop is open to anyone aged 18-30.
About your facilitator:
Florence Bennett is a London-based artist working across cyanotype, textile sculpture and animation. Her practice centres on the relationship between people and objects, examining mementos, relics, tokens and heirlooms as intimate carriers of memory.
Using a mixture of personal and archival imagery, she explores objects that absorb, hold and outlive the emotions attached to them.
