This workshop is for organisations who are classed as Operators of Essential Services in the Digital Services Sector.
This workshop is for organisations who are classed as Operators of Essential Services in the Digital Services Sector, in line with the draft Cyber Security (Jersey) Law 202-.
Now that the Law has been approved by the States Assembly, it will come into effect later in 2026, and will require Operators of Essential Services (OES) to take specific actions.
Under the Law, Operators of Essential Services will be required to:
- Register as an OES with JCSC
- Put in place appropriate cyber security measures
- Report any significant cyber incidents to Jersey Cyber Security Centre within 24 hours of becoming aware of them, including key information
Ahead of the Law coming into force, JCSC will produce guidance to help OES understand and meet these requirements. This workshop is designed to help shape that guidance.
During the workshop, attendees will have the chance to:
- Learn more about what the Law does (and does) not do
- Discuss and develop guidance specific to this sector
- Raise issues that affect this sector
