Cycle Infrastructure Design Workshop

Chicheter Car Free Day is a group of volunteers with the support of Transition Chichester that is supporting an environmental agenda in favour of walking, cycling, childrens' play and people-centred places.

Chichester Car Free Day

Come and meet and learn from 4 of the UK's leading Cycle Infrastructure Designers:
Rachel Aldred, University of Westminster
Mark Strong, Transport Initiatives
Mark Philpotts, chartered civil engineer, fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation 
and Phil Jones from Phil Jones Associates who will be running our Workshop for us.
We will learn about designing proper, protected cycle paths for main roads, junctions and roundabouts. There will be practical examples from around the world and the UK and the opportunity to go out on a bike to look at some real life examples.
Tickets are free but we are looking for a voluntary donation of £20 to cover travel costs and meals for our 4 visiting speakers. 
The day will include refreshments on arrival/elevenses/lunch and tea for all delegates.
We are very grateful to The Goodwood Estate for covering accommodation costs and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars for their kind donation towards the Workshop. Without our generous sponsors this workshop would not have been possible.
If you are coming by car, we would be grateful if you could park in the nearby Northgate Car Park.
