Learn to fix your bike! Basic to intermediate course material covered across a range of topics

Bikespace is a quality assured Cycling UK delivery partner offering Basic and Trailside Maintenance courses.On this Basic Maintenance Course, you will learn:

Personal safety, tool and chemical handling

Correct use of tools and lubricants

Degreasing, cleaning and lubrication

Pre-ride equipment checks

Brakes - cable adjustment and pad/block adjustment and replacement - for caliper, V-brake and disc brakes

Gears - indexing, cable adjustment, limit adjustment

Transmission - chain repair and replacement

Headset adjustment

Wheels - punctures, tyre repair

Emergency repairs - dealing with what can go wrong during a ride

If you live, work or study in Plymouth you are eligible for a place on one of the forthcoming courses FREE OF CHARGE. These places are facilitated by Plymouth City Council's Plymotion Project which is funded by the DfT.


Please note uner 18's are welcome to this course but they must be accompainied by an adult (tickets must be reserved for both.)
