This intensive workshop will guide you to blend and develope how you utilise and apply these ingredients to figures and dance idioms of any dance style, allowing you to embody your own bodily intelligence within the structure of other dance lesson outcomes.We invite you to explore yourself within these two dances family ties which will open possibilities in your movement, connection, and adaptability. By coming to this workshop you familiarise yourself with elements which support your authentic grow to become your own body poet personally and/or with a partner dance 🕺.✨️Find shape, fullness, and breath in your body with techniques from Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP) and Laban Movement Analysis. These dance philosophies will introduce you to the ways that you connect to your embodied Self and to the deepest emotions stored in your body. By dancing you have chosen an ancient and artistic form of expressing yourself. Dance is even closer and more effective than writing a poem. Choose to move beyond reciting other people's poems, but keep those poems as inspiration. Imagine someone singing someone else's song beautifully. We can feel that person's take, but it doesn't offer the same raw expression that the musician/artist crafted from within. Do you want to express yourself in your dance? Do you want to be you? Learn other people's dances but only use them if they fit into your own dance. ✨️Create flow, variety, and softness with body isolations and hair flow of Brazilian Zouk. What can be more beautiful than that? ✨️Feel responsive, flexible and conversational with techniques of West Coast Swing and merge them to your partner dance flow. This talented dancer is fluent in 10 different dances (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre/ Character, Hip Hop, Modern, Zouk, Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, and West Cost Swing.) which makes her one of the references in WORLD of SOCIAL DANCING. Kristine is the founder of Seattle Zouk dance Community and the Seattle Dance Festival at the Centre of the Universe; an international dance festival hosting Zouk, Kizomba, Solo Dances, WCS and organising teacher training programmes. She is globally known for technical and multi-dimensional teaching that transcends style and pattern work. She focuses on building movement repertoire and awareness, increasing communication in connection, and responding authentically to the structural makeup of music theory. At the moment she lives in London, where she is enhancing her training and practise in the best Dance Movement Psychotherapy programme in the country. DMP is a specialised field of art and play therapy which uses the body and movement as a resource for processing life’s trials and tribulations. In total she has been dancing for 32 years, teaching/coaching for 12 years, won and placed in multiple competitions, and toured to 14 countries worldwide. Kristine is currently studying for her MA in one of the best universities in this country. In her MA studies and practise of Dance Movement Psychotherapy, Kristīne Krosi found the process of authentic movement to change not only her movement on the dancefloor, but also her movement in life.
