Part of Dance Mama’s new live online class programme, Dancing Towards Connection is a new for 2021, online, pioneering, dance session specifically designed to support postnatal parents. The sessions include a dance workshop and social time.FREE Taster session: Friday 17th September, 10am - 12.15am10 - 11am - A fun an uplifting dance session renowned professional Dance Artist and Mum of two, Laura Harvey. After a gentle warm-up, Laura will lead you through some tasks to give you the opportunity to be move and be creative and importantly, to give you time to connect to yourself.11 – 11.15am - Comfort break11.15 - 12.30am – Cuppa and chat! Time to talk with other parents in the session about all things dancey and parenty.If you like this and want more, this event then leads to our 4-week course : Fridays, 1, 8, 15 and 22 October, 10am - 11.30am (£36) which you can sign-up for seperately <a href="https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dance-mama-class-programme-online-postnatal-dance-sessions-registration-167453833925" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>. How do I access it? All ticket holders will have receive an email with links to live sessions. Who can take part(Eligibility Policy)Dance Mama is committed to being inclusive for parents from all backgrounds. Our purpose is to create a designated space for postnatal parents to move, be creative, inspired and informed. Whilst being aimed at parents who have carried their child (in acknowledgment of the major biological changes that happen for them), we warmly welcome participants who have not carried their child, and/or do not identify as a &#x27;mother&#x27; or as &#x27;female&#x27; but do identify as a &#x27;Dad&#x27; or &#x27;parent,&#x27; with caring responsibilities for children aged 6 weeks to 4 years. Dance Mama retains the right to refuse participation (through reviewing all registration forms) to anyone if we believe they are: - Under 18 years old and/or, - Not adhering to the code of conduct and is exhibiting behaviours that are harmful to themselves or others, or the project in this online opportunity, and/or, - may not have a genuine parenthood identity (as described above and in our registration form)- is under 6 weeks postpartum for safety reasonsDisclaimerBy completing this registration form you are declaring you are free from any injury or any conditions where taking part in physical activity will not exacerbate your existing symptoms or cause you injury or harm. Always check with your healthcare practitioner before starting any new physical activity. You are responsible for your health and safety. Dance Mama is not liable for any injury or harm by you taking part in this programme. If you are a new parent, you will not be eligible to take part in the physical workshops if your baby is under 6 weeks old as you will not have had the opportunity to pass your 6-week health check.
