A delicate and introspective miniature, already hinting at Silvestrov’s distinctive, poetic sound world.


Sergei Bortkiewicz (1877–1952)

Lamentation, Op. 17 No. 1

A deeply expressive work, rich in late-Romantic lyricism and emotional intensity.


Consolation, Op. 17 No. 2

A gentle and reflective piece, offering warmth and lyrical reassurance.


Lamentation, Op. 17 No. 5

A more dramatic and expansive lament, unfolding with a sense of longing and narrative depth.


Myroslav Skoryk (1938–2020)

Melody (arr. for solo piano)

One of the most beloved works in Ukrainian music, combining simplicity with profound emotional resonance.


Biography:

Daria Bitsiuk is a concert pianist and piano educator, as well as an ABRSM examiner. Her work centres on exploring and presenting Ukrainian repertoire, often through thoughtfully curated programmes that bring together music, context, and reflection.

Alongside her performing career, Daria teaches privately and coaches singers at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She is also the founder of the London Keys Ensemble, a project dedicated to creating more intimate and engaging concert experiences.
