Below the pavements and around the foundations of the City’s offices lies a layer of dark earth: the debris from the collapse and decay of lost centuries, including that of Roman London.
Powered by wiretapper, Dark Earth is an audio curiosity delving into the City’s ancient secrets. This is the sound of a civilisation teetering on the edge of its downfall. 
To access this extraordinary immersive experience, you will need a smart phone, a pair of headphones and a coat. On the morning of the event you will be told where to meet and be taken through the streets and down into the Dark Earth.

Tours run at the following times and last 40 minutes:
Sunday 22, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 October - 4pm, 4.20pm, 4.40pm, 5pm. 5.20pm, 5.40pm, 6pm, 6.20pm, 6.40pm, 7.20pm, 7.40pm, 8pm
Monday 23, Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25, Thursday 26 and Friday 27 October - 6pm, 6.20pm, 6.40pm, 7pm, 7.20pm, 7.40pm, 8pm
Please note:

<LI>Dark Earth is delivered via a smartphone app, compatible with Apple and Android operating systems</LI>
<LI>You will need one pair of headphones and one smartphone per person</LI>
<LI>Tickets are non-cancellable and non-refundable. In the unlikely event that the City of London cancel the performance full refunds (minus booking fee) will be given</LI>
<LI>The performance will go ahead regardless of the weather, a part of which will be outdoors so please dress appropriately </LI>
<LI>There are steps to access a part of the performance with no wheelchair access and a brief period of strobe lighting</LI>
<LI>Suitable for age 14 and over, please note there is mild sexual references</LI>
