Data Hack
Date and time
Description
Join Sunderland Data Labs in DATA HACK, a free day of playful experimentation and hacking to explore creative ways of gathering, sorting and visualising the different types of data which have been captured from around the city.
Sunderland Data Labs is a Creative Fuse Innovation Pilot, bringing together creative mapping activities with design and visualisation events to explore fresh ways to collect, visualise, and share the experiences and environments of people and communities within and around the city. The project aims to develop new representations of the city of Sunderland; creating ideas and prototypes to re-connect people within city centre spaces.
What does 'your city' look like? Explore visual tools and processes to help you to think about ways to create new maps, models, and visualisations of city experiences.
This is a day for creative coders, artists, designers, writers, musicians, engineers, makers, thinkers, planners and city users. We are hoping to bring together a diverse mix of skills and backgrounds to make this an innovative, inspiring and fun day. You will be fed and refreshed throughout the day.
This project has been supported by Creative Fuse North East and Sunderland BID to support and encourage the revitalisation and regeneration in the of Sunderland. This programme is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
