Data plays a key role to fuel businesses that are going through a digital transformation. Many organisations will mention they want to become data-driven, improve their data literacy, and make data self-service. But what does that really imply? While these characteristics are important and desirable, they are mainly focused on improving internal data and analytics capabilities.The real benefit comes when data delivers real value to the business by improving decisions or driving autonomous actions directly.Join us at <a href="https://www.thecatalystnewcastle.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Catalyst</a> on Wednesday 24th November from 3pm as we explore the importance of building a value-driven Data Strategy with our partners Thoughtworks, who have recently announced the opening of a brand-new site in Newcastle upon Tyne. Hear from Thoughtworks’ Head of Data &amp; AI UK, Danilo Sato as he explores this approach and join us in a hands-on workshop exploring ‘Lean Data Discovery’. After the talks and workshop session, we will hold a drinks reception to welcome Thoughtworks to the region. Don’t miss out!

<h2>Speaker</h2><h3>Danilo Sato, Head of Data &amp; AI UK</h3>Danilo is the Head of Data for Thoughtworks UK. As a principal consultant at Thoughtworks with over 20 years of experience, he brings technical background in many areas of architecture and engineering: software, data, infrastructure, and machine learning. Balancing strategy with execution, Danilo helps clients refine their technology strategy while adopting practices to reduce the time between having an idea, implementing it, and running it in production. He brings experience across all major cloud providers and is the author of “DevOps in Practice: Reliable and Automated Software Delivery”, is a member of Thoughtworks' Technology Advisory Board and Office of the CTO and is an experienced international conference speaker on topics around Data Mesh, CD4ML, data architecture and data strategy.
