<p>Extracting insight from data analysis can be hard, especially if you are new to an operation, lack data expertise, are short on time, or have multiple objectives to consider. The promise of improved yields, reduced waste, higher basket values, or whatever metric you need to track for your business, can often be more difficult to deliver than you’d hoped. But the ability to bring the right information to the right user in the right format is crucial for engagement.</p><p><strong>Join us</strong> and Wyoming Interactive at <a href="https://www.thecatalystnewcastle.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Catalyst</a> on <strong>Tuesday 29th March</strong> from <strong>2 p.m.</strong> as we present <em>Design Thinking for Complex Data</em>, an event which will focus on the importance of user-centred design to optimise digital experiences for different user needs and demonstrate how to optimise insight for every member of every team.</p><p>Hear from Wyoming Interactive’s Director and Head of Consultancy<strong> Rob Innes</strong>, Head of Design<strong> Simon Bevis</strong> and Digital Marketing Executive<strong> Macarena Lopez-Hidalgo</strong> as they explore this subject with reference to one of their most complex customers – in the field of <strong>genomics</strong>, no less – the Roslin Institute at the University of Edinburgh, represented by its Core Scientist <strong>Mazdak Salavati</strong>. Originally from a technology background in which he built applications for supply chain integration, customer self-service and customer acquisition, Rob is now primarily involved in helping organisations to do more with data-generating insights that are accessible to users regardless of their level of data expertise.</p><p></p><h3>Simon Bevis</h3><h3>Head of Design, Wyoming Interactive</h3><p>Simon, <strong>Head of Design</strong> at Wyoming, has 17 years' experience working across software and design. He is a specialist in design for the financial and life sciences sectors. His core background is in developing best-in-class products through UX, UI design and branding, and he also has experience of SaaS product ownership and front-end development for both FTSE 500 companies and high-growth start-ups.</p><p></p><h3>Macarena Lopez-Hidalgo</h3><h3>Digital Marketing Executive, Wyoming Interactive</h3><p>Macarena, <strong>Digital Marketing Executive</strong>, has several years' experience in marketing and communications and as such is heavily involved in all marketing and new business activity at Wyoming. With a background in journalism and media relations, she has ample experience building long-term relationships with third parties and managing campaigns. She now specialises in digital marketing, helping to identify new business opportunities and generate leads.</p><p></p><h3>Mazdak Salavati, D.V.M, PhD, AFHEA</h3><h3>Core Scientist (Research Fellow), The Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh</h3><p>Mazdak currently works as a <strong>Core Scientist </strong>across multiple genomics and data-driven initiatives at the University of Edinburgh's Roslin Institute, and he has collaborated closely with Wyoming Interactive. He began his career as a biomedical scientist, starting a PhD in Assisted Reproductive Technologies in a joint studentship between the Royal Veterinary College and the University of Bedfordshire in 2010.  After finishing his doctorate in 2013, he started his post-doctoral research in cell and molecular biology projects through which he gradually incorporated next-generation sequencing and bioinformatics skills into his portfolio.
