Data Shadows

Join us for the UK premiere of the groundbreaking short film Data Shadows; where art, science, and philosophy converge. Co-directed by philosopher and data scientist Sabina Leonelli, visionary artist Jacob van der Beugel, and filmmaker Oliver Page, this 20-minute cinematic journey transforms our understanding of data through the lens of nature; soils, stones, and plants. Each chapter—Extraction, Repository, and Journeys—immerses viewers in a thought-provoking exploration of data’s hidden realities. The film screening will be followed by a topical panel discussion and the opportunity to put your questions to Jacob, the artist behind the concept.
