Open Data Services Co-operative

How can open data standards act as tools for social change? Join us to explore a range of cases where the technical detail of fields and formats connect with social forces of policy, campaigning and cross-border collaboration.
Explore how creating or deploying open data standards can form part of the strategy for your project, and learn about the different issues to consider when deploying standards for social impact.
The event will be structured around a set of short presentations, followed by break-out discussions.
5.30 - 6.00 - Arrivals & light refreshments
6.00 - 6.10 - Welcome & introduction to open data standards
6.10 - 7.00 - Standard and their stories: aid transparency, procurement and contracting, philanthropy and public service directories
7.00 - 7.30 - Workshop session: standards and strategy. Small-group break-outs digging deeper into how open data standards can be used as part of specific social change projects.
7.30 - 7.45 - Wrap up and close
