This workshop, created specifically for primary school senior leaders, will help you to cut through the noise and focus on what actually matters: systems that support teachers, strengthen provision, and improve outcomes, without generating workload for little gain.The day will support you to:<ul><li>Review and refine your approach to assessment and data.</li><li>Understand what data matters, what doesn't, and what's statutory.</li><li>Use data effectively to support all pupils, including those with SEND.</li><li>Develop or sharpen an assessment policy and data strategy that works in practice.</li></ul>If you are looking to bring greater clarity to assessment and data in your primary school or trust, this day will provide the practical guidance you need.What to expect:The morning focuses on external data and accountability. After lunch, the focus shifts to internal assessment and tracking pupil progress.<ul><li>Session 1: The state of the nation - The new Ofsted toolkit and DfE performance measures.</li><li>Session 2: Navigating the new IDSR - Understanding all the latest changes to this important document.</li><li>Session 3: Effective use of school assessment data - Practical approaches to recording and analysing teacher assessment, test scores, progress measures, and monitoring outcomes for pupils with SEND.</li><li>Session 4: Developing an assessment policy and data strategy - How to ‘dataproof’ your school.</li></ul>Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
