Databusting Surrey with The Educakers
A practical one-day workshop for primary and MAT senior leaders on making assessment and data work in practice, without adding to workload.
Assessment and data play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning, but only when they are managed in a way that is practical, proportionate and sustainable for staff.
With the introduction of the new Ofsted toolkit and a revised IDSR, schools and trusts are under increasing pressure to demonstrate how assessment and data support inclusion, particularly for disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND. This practical one-day workshop provides time and space to step back and consider how assessment and data can be managed effectively, without adding unnecessary workload.
Aimed at senior leaders, the day focuses on practical, realistic approaches to assessment and data that support teachers, strengthen provision and inform improvement.
The workshop will help you to:
- Review and refine how assessment and data are managed in your school or trust
- Understand statutory requirements and how to meet them proportionately
- Use data effectively to support all pupils, including those with SEND
- Develop or sharpen an assessment policy and data strategy that works in practice
The day is structured around two broad themes:
Morning: external data and accountability
Afternoon: internal assessment and tracking pupil progress
Sessions
- State of the nation: the new Ofsted toolkit and DfE performance measures
- Navigating the revised IDSR
- Managing and using assessment data effectively, including for pupils with SEND
- Developing an assessment policy and data strategy
Tickets include a light lunch and refreshments.
This event is in association with Cassie and Anna, the Educakers, at Lingfield Primary School. Find out more about the Educakers at https://substack.com/@theeducakers.
