We will meet at the gates to Burleigh Wood (What3Words - faces.rock.edge) at 6:30am. Following a short introduction, we will take a gentle stroll around the wood, stopping to listen to the dawn chorus and identify the birds we can hear. The walk will be led by Curtis Burbidge accompanied by Assistant Gardens Manager Rich Fenn Griffin. We expect to finish around 7:30am.
Instructions for joining the event from Holywell Car Park are given below. If you need to leave the event early due to work commitments, please feel free to do so - we won't be offended.
Please be aware that the surface in the wood is uneven in parts and so we recommend sturdy footwear. If high winds or heavy rain are predicted for the day of the event, we will email you if we have to cancel.
Unfortunately we cannot welcome dogs to this event as they tend to deter our avian friends.
If you have a pair of binoculars, please bring them along as they can be very useful.
