Join us for a beautiful spring morning at Potteric Carr nature reserve to hear one of natures most fantastic phenomena - the dawn chorus!
Join our expert guides for exclusive early morning acess to Potteric Carr nature reserve. On international dawn chorus day, make your way slowly around the reserve taking in the sights and sounds of resident and recently arrived summer migrants. You could expect to hear chiffchaffs, blackcaps, reed warblers, cuckoos, song thrush and bittern!
The walk will end at our warm and friendly visitor centre at 8am, the perfect place for a delicious breakfast.*

Embrace your wild side - what to expect:
Accessibility and terrain
Much of Potteric Carr is accessible for standard wheelchairs and pushchairs. There are other paths that are more rugged that go round the Discovery Zone and Beeston Plantation.
What to bring/wear
This event takes place outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather! Sturdy footwear is always recommended.
Waterproof clothing/insect repellent (weather dependent), torch (night events), binoculars.
Toilets and catering
Facilities on site include toilets (including accessible toilet and baby changing facilities) and a gift shop and café in the visitor centre.

Meet at the entrance to the nature reserve.

Car park off Mallard Way, open 9.30am to 5pm
Access will be availble to the main car park for this early morning event.

In the situation that Yorkshire Wildlife Trust needs to cancel an event we will be in touch regarding your booking via email and our Supporter Services team will process the refund of your tickets as soon as possible. Please allow up to 5 working days for this to happen. If you, or members of your party, are unable to attend your booked event, you are eligible for a refund up to 7 days before the event date.
