When we find ourselves immersed in problems, it’s natural to ask: Why me? But do we ever find a satisfying answer to that question? Do we sometimes feel unlucky, or as though life has dealt us an unfair hand?
Buddha’s teachings on the law of karma offer a clear and practical explanation for why things happen the way they do — and more importantly, how we can begin to change our experiences from difficult to joyful, from painful to peaceful. Rather than just hoping for happiness, we learn how to create it. Rather than avoiding suffering, we learn how to remove its causes. Understanding karma puts us in the driver’s seat of our life.
In this course, Kadam John McBretney, who has studied and practised Kadampa Buddhism for many years, will explore how the law of karma empowers us to heal the past, transform the present, and create a more fortunate future.
Kadam John McBretney has over 30 year's of experience in Kadampa Buddhism. He is a joyful and inspiring teacher. Known for his practical advice and compassionate clarity, he makes profound Buddhist teachings accessible and relevant to modern London life.
