Learn about barring referrals, regulated activity and relevant conduct with Carol Ann Eland from the Disclosure & Barring Service.

In this workshop, you will:<ul><li>Understand the benefits of DBS and you (employer) working together</li><li>Take part in Barring Myth Busting Quiz</li><li>Understand the three different referral routes</li><li>Understand when a DBS Barring referral should be made, including when the legal duty is met</li><li>Understand Regulated Activity / Relevant Conduct and Harm Test</li><li>Understand how to make a good quality referral</li><li>Have a clear understanding of the consequences of not making appropriate barring referrals and the consequences of being included in one or both Barred Lists</li></ul>This workshop is suitable for those who investigate safeguarding matters, such as Managers, Safeguarding Leads, Trustees and decision-makers within an organisation that employs staff and recruits volunteers.This session is open to all Interlink RCT members. Membership is free and open to all community and not-for-profit groups and charities that provide services in RCT.
