DBS Enhanced Application Process Workshop

The Disclosure & Barring Service’s Regional Safeguarding Outreach team delivers workshops to a variety of organisations within the safeguarding environment. These workshops will help you increase your awareness of DBS checks and the update service and improve your knowledge and confidence about when and how barring referrals should be made.

The workshop will cover - <ul><li>The Enhanced DBS Application Process</li></ul><ul><li>Stage 4 of the Enhanced DBS Check process and how this impacts on disclosure information</li></ul><ul><li>What to do if you experience delays</li></ul> This session is aimed that those who are involved in HR, management of those in regulated activity, those who have safeguarding responsibilities, trustees and those who would be involved in making referrals to the DBS.Please note we cannot discuss individual cases during the session.If you are an organisation who has a large number of individuals and you would like to attend a workshop, please contact dbsregionaloutreach@dbs.gov.uk and we can arrange providing direct support.If you are a member of the public and would like more information about the child/adult barred list please see gov.uk/dbs or contact Customer Services 03000 200 190
