Bearwood Community Hub CIC is a not-for-profit, community-led social enterprise running services and activities to improve people’s wellbeing, livelihoods and the local urban environment.We provide social activities, material support, information, advice and guidance, personal and professional development opportunities which address the poverty, insecurity and isolation that much of Smethwick faces.Bearwood Community Hub aims to consistently enable every person in Bearwood and surrounding areas to connect, collaborate and create in ways that are right and beneficial for them, and in ways that inspire and foster a greater sense of belonging, confidence, local ownership and autonomy.

Join us for our Death Cafe on Friday May 6th 12.00–1.15 for an informal conversation about death, dying, loss and living well until we die.

Join us at Bearwood Community Hub for our Death Cafe on Friday May 6th 12.00 – 1.15 for an informal conversation in a safe and non-judgemental space about death, dying and loss and living well until we die. Death can be a difficult subject to talk about but it’s often much easier than you think.There is no theme, no agenda, the conversation goes where it leads us. It will be a place for open discussion rather than grief support or counselling.The session will be with Debbie Kerslake from Brum YODO, a CIC that creates spaces for conversations about death, dying and loss. As spaces are limited please book a place by contacting hello@bearwood.cc There is no charge for the event. Free tea, coffee and samosas will be provided.
