DECONSTRUCT

A collective of arts practitioners who came together to deliver high quality educational projects using arts disciplines and practices. Most recently Unity Arts delivered the HLF funded "Woeful Puppet" that culminated in an event at the Tower Of London. Previously "Brussels At Dawn" a commemorative project about the life of Edith Cavell, "The Restoration Wyfe - A Saucy London Life” which included an exhibition at The Geffrye Museum and a photo shoot at Ham House and in 2012 “Round Our Way” an Old Time Music Hall which delivered an exhibition and performance at Hoxton Hall that saw the venue full to capacity. Their first community project, funded by the Big Lottery was “Form Expression” for young girls from Hackney, Haringey and Islington. A new research and performance piece was created by the participants about the history of how the female form is depicted in art and other media.
