Deep Adaptation Q&A with Stephen G Wright

Katie is a trainer, facilitator and coach. She was a founding member of the Deep Adaptation Forum core team, and was instrumental to the development of the theory and practice that became DA facilitation.  She has accompanied many people and groups through their journeys of learning and unlearning in response to the realities of the climate crisis, and now works mainly one-to-one with leaders, activists, and others. She brings to this work a love of people, and heaps of gratitude and respect for the privilege of being alongside others as they find ways of navigating during this unique time.

Join host Katie Carr, in conversation with Stephen G. Wright, exploring issues around engaged spirituality, the role of the mystic-contemplative in today’s world, and how cultivating an abiding awareness of death is an essential practice for emotional resilience in the face of collapse of societies and earth systems. You are welcome to join this free event, and put your questions to Stephen.Stephen is an interfaith minister, and the spiritual director and trustee for the <a href="https://www.sacredspace.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sacred Space Foundation</a>, a retreat and guidance centre. He is also a member of the Holding Group of the <a href="https://www.deepadaptation.info/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Deep Adaptation Forum</a>. Following an early career in nursing and academia, Stephen developed a strong interest in spiritual matters and the connection with wellbeing. He offers spiritual guidance as well as support in developing the practice of healing, spiritual care, conflict resolution and leadership to individuals and organisations. He has written several books on the nature of healing relationships and spiritual awakening, and is the founder of the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Kentigernschool/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">St. Kentigern School for Contemplatives</a>.This is the first of a series of Deep Adaptation Q&amp;As that will take place monthly throughout 2022, hosted by Jem Bendell and Katie Carr, in which we exploring a variety of perspectives on the broad topic of societal collapse due to anthropogenic climate change.
