Deep Focus: Unbuild/Unbuilt

Deep Focus is a periodic screening event that supports artists working with moving image.

This is the first event of the Unbuild/Unbuilt series, screening films that reflect on the tensions between creation, destruction and de-construction.

"Unbuild/Unbuilt proposes to look at ways in which pieces are removed from a structure one by one, putting said structure, be it anything from architectures to epistemologies and ideologies, through a process of transformation or complete renewal. And when everything is removed, or nothing has been created yet, what occupies that state of potentiality?"

Screening time will be approximately 90 minutes, followed by a short panel discussion between some of the artists and our head curator Jael Azari, with audience participation welcomed.

After the event we will head to the Rose to carry on the discussions over drinks.
