What does recovery from burnout actually look like?

Usually, it's not just taking a holiday or having a slow weekend.

Real recovery means restoring your energy, regulating your nervous system, and creating conditions that allow you to feel better long term - not just temporarily rested.

We'll open with an honest panel conversation about burnout - the kind that doesn't only happen at work, but shows up in relationships, caregiving, creative projects and constantly being the one who holds everything together. Then we move into an energising yoga flow to wake up the body, release mental heaviness and shift stagnant energy. Finally we slow things down with sauna and cold plunges — using heat and cold exposure to help regulate the nervous system, reconnect with the body and support recovery.

This is a space to reflect, move, breathe, reset and leave feeling clearer, lighter and more energised.

What to expect

Guided panel conversation (11:10 – 11:30)

An honest discussion around:

  • burnout outside of work
  • emotional and mental load
  • creative exhaustion and passion projects
  • boundaries and protecting your energy
  • ways to recharge without guilt

You'll hear different perspectives, lived experiences, and practical reflections designed to help you feel less alone in what you might be carrying.

Dynamic yoga (11:45 – 12:45)

We'll open the practice with a journal prompt to welcome reflection, then move into an energising full-body flow designed to help you release stress, shift stagnant energy and reconnect with your body. Suitable for all levels except complete beginners. If you're generally active, you'll be absolutely fine. If journaling is part of your habits, bring your journal or a notepad — and if it isn't, this is a gentle invitation to give it a go.

Sauna + cold plunges (13:00 onwards)

After yoga, you'll have access to sauna and cold plunges. Alternating between heat and cold can support nervous system regulation, circulation, recovery and energy levels — while also creating space to slow down mentally.

Space to pause

Tea on arrival, countryside surroundings and time between practices to rest, chat or simply be quiet.
