This session will introduce PGRs to the principles and practices of “deep work” – sustained, distraction-free focus on cognitively demanding tasks. We will explore the distinction between “deep” and “shallow” work and how that can help manage your productivity. We will also consider practical strategies to help you manage time, reduce distractions, and build effective working habits.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the key ideas behind “deep work”.
  • Identify common obstacles to sustained focus.
  • Apply practical techniques to improve focus and productivity.
