Description

FMJ is holding an RICS-IFMA debate at the RICS HQ on the evening of 25th of October and we’d love you to take part. The topic for discussion will be How should FM be redefined for the C21st?

With all the many changes affecting the sector, including digital disruption, ever more flexible working patterns and the realisation of the huge impact the workplace can have on performance and wellbeing, is the role of the FM evolving into that of a workplace manager rather than simply someone responsible for building and building services? Is the best way to attract more young people into the profession to change the way FM is defined, even going so far as to drop the term facilities altogether?

In this debate we will hear views from those who support radically redefining FM for the 21st century to those that warn there is a danger of losing sight of the main purpose and direction of FM.

The event, which will run from 18.00-20.30 at RICS HQ in Parliament Square, will allow for networking before and after the debate when drinks/snacks shall be served.

This event is sponsored by Fresh Ground and SPIE.
