The Centre for Communities and Social Justice (ICE, University of Greenwich), in partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich are pleased to invite you to Delicate Dialgues: Restorative Justice in Complex Contexts
Conference Synopsis:
Restorative justice has emerged as a transformative approach to healing harm and promoting accountability and responsibility. However, when cases involve a profound emotional impact, multiple layers of complexity, or deeply entrenched conflicts, the restorative process requires heightened sensitivity, creativity, and expertise. This conference will explore the nuanced dynamics of such cases, highlighting tools and methodologies that empower restorative practitioners to navigate risks, ethical dilemmas and power imbalances. Through keynote presentations and interactive workshops, participants will be equipped with a deeper understanding of restorative justice's capacity to address even the most challenging scenarios.
This conference is an approved CPD event for 6 hours by the Restorative Justice Council, meaning attendance can be used towards practitioners annual registration renewal process.
Conference Aim:
This conference aims to explore the role of restorative justice practices in addressing complex and sensitive cases by bringing together academics, practitioners and those with experience. The event will seek to promote dialogue, share best practices, and explore innovative strategies for navigating restorative practices in complex contexts.
Keynote speakers:
