The Sunderland Future Living Expo is organised by Sunderland City Council as a high-profile public event to celebrate new high-quality homes as part of the transformative Riverside Sunderland project.

The Sunderland Future Living Expo will support and encourage initiatives that deliver high-quality skills and training for the local population. The programme will provide a critical link between industry, academic research, education and vocational skills in construction to up-skill and re-skill the local workforce as part of a live development project.The homebuilding for Riverside Sunderland seeks to build on Sunderland’s renowned manufacturing heritage to deliver homes designed, manufactured and assembled for and by the people of Sunderland. As a key part of this programme, the city is supporting the creation of a regional skills academy that will invest in and retain local talent.This on-line discussion brings together a range of practitioners and policymakers alongside strategic perspectives, to highlight important education and training opportunities and outcomes from the Expo.
