Dementia Action Week Film Showing: The Notebook (2004)

A romance set in a small coastal town in the American South. In the present day, an elderly man reads from a faded notebook to a woman whom he regularly visits at her nursing home. As he reads, a passionate love story unfolds about a young couple in the 1940s, whose love affair was abruptly ended by circumstances and the sudden outbreak of World War Two.

This film will be shown at Dalton Lodge's specially designed cinema at no charge, with attendees invited to make a voluntary donation to the Alzheimer's Society. Free popcorn and drinks will be available.
