Croydon Voluntary Actionpromotes, supports and develops effective voluntary action, community development and community involvement for the benefit of the whole community within the London Borough of Croydon.  As the key local umbrella infrastructure body serving all Croydon’s communities, we run a wide range of services for small groups, social enterprises, larger charities and volunteers at all stages of development.Check on our website what we offer; whether it's community networks, volunteering, latest news/news articles, or hiring space in one of our local community centres, we hope we will be able to help you deliver excellent services to our community.

Croydon Voluntary Action

This Information Session lasts around 45mins - one hour. You will learn more about dementia and how you can help to create dementia friendly communities. It will be run by volunteer Dementia Friends Champions, who are trained and supported by Alzheimer’s Society; a Dementia Friend learns a little bit more about what it's like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action - anyone of any age can be a Dementia Friend.
 
There is lot you can learn about dementia and the small ways you can help. From telling friends about Dementia Friends to visiting someone you know living with dementia, every action counts!
