About this event

Stapleford Library is delighted to be hosting a series of relaxed screenings of films and musicals.

The Great Escaper

In the summer of 2014, a World War II veteran sneaks out of his care home to attend the 70th anniversary commemoration of the D-Day landings in Normandy. Starring Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson, this beautiful film is based on a true story.

This relaxed screening is particularly suitable for people living with dementia and memory challenges, their family and friends but anyone is welcome. Please feel free to talk, sing and move during the screening.

Doors will open 15 minutes before the screening and there will be a 20 minute interval. We will be sensitive to the audience when it comes to lighting and volume. A quiet space for anyone needing a brief break from the film will be available in the main library. Access to the meeting room is via stairs or a lift from the ground floor.

If you have any additional requirements or questions before booking please contact ask@inspireculture.org.uk

Tickets available through the Eventbrite link or at the Library.
