Join the first inquiry session of the NHS Innovation & Life Sciences Commission's Dementia programme.

Chaired by Lord James O&#x27;Shaughnessy and Professor Mike Bewick, the first inquiry session will focus on diagnostics and future technologies with Dementia. P﻿anellists include:<ul><li>Professor John O&#x27;Brien - NIHR National Specialty Lead for Dementia</li><li>P﻿rofessor Nadeem Sarwar - Co-Chair, The Dementia Mission</li><li>P﻿rofessor Michael Hornberger - Professor of Applied Dementia Research, Norwich Medical School</li><li>P﻿rofessor Matt Brown - Chief Scientific Officer, Genomics England</li><li>H﻿ilary Evans - Chief Executive, Alzheimer&#x27;s Research UK</li><li>D﻿r Sasha Bozeat - Global External Engagement and Scientific Collaboration Lead, Roche</li><li>P﻿rofessor Nick Fox - Director of the Dementia Research Centre and Group Leader at the UK DRI, UCL</li></ul>Further p﻿anellists to be announced shortly.<ul><li>Session one: diagnosis and diagnostics</li><li>Session two: treatment and care</li></ul>The session is designed to focus on solutions and not restate the problem, therefore we ask participants to join the session with ideas for how to improve the topic areas. Ideally, the Commission is looking for examples of best practice that could be scaled to other parts of the UK.About the Commission:Through an implementation-based approach, the NHS Innovation and Life Sciences Commission will publish an assessment and series of recommendations on the key issues facing Dementia patients.
