Event description

Description

Desert Island Dishes Live Podcast Recording with host Margie Nomura interviewing Madeleine Shaw. Tickets start from £15, with the option to add on a Mortimer House brunch.

Enormously popular podcast Desert Island Dishes is being brought to life at Mortimer House for the first time in a live recorded interview with bestselling cookery writer, nutritional therapist and leading wellness blogger, Madeleine Shaw.

For those not yet in the know, the weekly podcast series sees its host, chef and broadcaster Margie Nomura, converse with a different special guest - from the world of food and beyond - about the seven dishes that shaped their lives, from favourite childhood dishes, the best dish they’ve ever eaten, right through to the last dish they would choose to eat before being cast off to the desert island. Through the prism of food listeners learn how the guest got to where they are today and the extraordinary things they have achieved - getting to know them intimately through their favourite foods.

The event will be structured with the usual seven-question interview by Margie and then opened up the to the floor so the audience can ask any burning inquires of their own.

BRUNCH

Mortimer House has a beautiful buffet brunch which runs from 12-4pm on Saturdays with guest DJs, free flowing prosecco and selected wines. All Desert Island Dishes attendees are invited to book for brunch either before or after the live podcast recording. You can select a ticket with or without alcohol above and we will inform Mortimer House of your booking. You can sit down to eat at noon or head downstairs at 2pm after the recording.
